Rocket Lab has closed a US$140 million Series E raise, with a number of investment funds and institutional investors jumping on board. Importantly, New Zealand’s ACC fund is one of the new investors, which demonstrates a willingness of one of the large government funds to invest at least a small amount of their funds in this space. With a lot of capital, they have the power to help drive the start-up space with what are relatively small bets to them, but critical supply for fledgling start-ups, so here’s hoping that ACC do more in this direction!
