Edtech start-up Kami (formerly Notable PDF) has just raised a $1.5 million round led by Right Click Capital based out of Australia. Originally a project out of the University of Auckland, Kami has been led by the same three founders for the last six years, developing a document annotation app that has swept across the global education market. Most of Kami’s customers are outside of New Zealand (particularly in the US), and the newly raised capital will help them move further into North America and Europe.
