Ferronova has developed a nanoparticle technology for the rapid and accurate tracing and visualisation of the pathways of spread of cancer to lymph nodes. The technology is designed to provide a more accurate mapping of these systems to enable image-guided surgery and radiotherapy, and is designed to enable the pathological detection of micro-metastasis and isolated tumour cells which can be missed in traditional diagnostic methods.
Developed from research at Victoria University of Wellington, the University of South Australia, and the University of Sydney, this in-depth, holistic diagnosis approach is designed to improve patient outcomes and treatment pathways. With ongoing support from Aotearoa New Zealand researchers and investors, Ferronova has a strong patent portfolio and network of research partners across Australasia.
