Luke Campbell wins the Momentum Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2021

Congratulations to Luke Campbell, co-founder of Vxt and student at the University of Canterbury, for winning the Matū-sponsored Momentum Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2021! The awards were presented last night (30 November) as part of the KiwiNet Research Commercialisation Awards. Vxt is a company providing workflow automation for managing phone calls and voicemail, and is growing very fast. The judges also noted that Luke has given up huge amounts of time to help grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem at the University of Canterbury, helping other start-ups get off the ground.

We’d also like to congratulate the other finalists, Janette Rapson (Massey University) and Tom Maslin (University of Canterbury) for their excellent applications. Supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs is critical to building pipeline and talent for the innovation ecosystem, and at Matū we are proud to be doing our part.
